I knew I was very sick, was assured that I was going to a decent hospital then, a Dr. came in to do a CAT Scan, and he did speak English, it was so comforting to me, I felt confident in the Dr's. and his care.
At the time was seeing two or three nurses, all standing there so cute and with their spotless caps on, masks on their faces (which was understandable) but the smiles were in their eyes and the hospital was so clean.
They were doing their best to make me comfortable. Most important is that they gave me their TIME. That is so important, and they were so kind and gentle and smiling. This is a caring place.
I have told so many of my friends about Merith and her kindness and the sweet nurses, I do appreciate your kindness.
I live near Philadelphia, close to so many great hospitals and medical schools. I graduated from Cooper Hospital Camden NJ, a great huge hospital and teaching center. I guess I am spoiled. It is comforting to know that, that type of care is so nearby, but now I realized that it is important also to have people who are there to help you in a kind gentle way.
